FAQ Cloud Services

How many Devices can I connect to a single subscription account?

There is no limit to the number of Keep Connects that you can attach to a single Cloud Services subsription.

I manually triggered a reset, but nothing happened.

Triggering a manual reset requires an internet connection in order to reach the Keep Connect to tell it to perform the reset. Therefore, it is not possible to use a manual reset to restore a total loss of internet to a site (although the Keep Connect should locally detect the outage and perform the reset without receiving a signal from the Cloud Services. Manual triggering resets stores the signal on our servers for Keep Connect to discover sometime within a 5min timeframe.

The manual reset can be used in cases where the network may be performing slow or otherwise insufficiently but is still capable of communicated with the Cloud Services servers. Once a trigger has been sent, you can see under “Device Status” within the Cloud Services App if the manual trigger is “Staged” or not. Staged means that the signal is stored on the server waiting for the Keep Connect to discover and apply the reset. Once the signal is discovered by Keep Connect, the “Staged” status will go back to “Not Staged”.

I sent New Settings to my Keep Connect, but nothing changed.

Similar to triggering a manual reset, new settings are sent to our servers for Keep Connect to discover and apply within 5mins. Once new settings have been sent, you can see under “Device Status” within the Cloud Services App if the new settings are “Staged” or not. Staged means that these settings are stored on the server waiting for the Keep Connect to discover and apply them. Once they are discovered and applied by Keep Connect, the “Staged” status will go back to “Not Staged”.
