What Rebooter Relays Does

What this network relay board does: switch two circuits from one board

Rebooter Relays gives you two relay outputs for power cycling and switching connected equipment. Each channel has NC, COM and NO terminals, so you decide whether a circuit is normally on or normally off.

Two independent channels let you control two devices separately. For example, one channel for a modem and one for a router.

The board switches circuits you wire to it. It does not supply power to your equipment or provide internet service.

Who It Helps

Built for installations a plug cannot reach

  • IT and network installers. Power cycle equipment inside racks, cabinets and panels.
  • IoT and automation builders. Add two switched outputs to a larger control system.
  • Remote and unattended sites. Use the wired RJ45 connection where Wi-Fi is weak.
  • Low-voltage equipment setups. Switch devices that do not use a standard wall plug.
  • Two-device setups. Control a modem and a router on separate channels.

You need a 12V or 24V AC or DC power supply for the board, and the skills to wire relay contacts safely. A qualified electrician should do mains voltage wiring.

How It Works

Mount, power, wire, connect

  1. Mount the board. Use the four corner mounting holes.
  2. Power the board. Connect a 12V or 24V AC or DC supply to the 3-pin terminal block labeled 12-24, GND and V+.
  3. Wire each channel. Connect your circuits to the NC, COM and NO terminals on Relay 1 and Relay 2.
  4. Connect to your network. Use the RJ45 Ethernet port or Wi-Fi.
  5. Set up and test. Scan the QR code on the front for the documentation. Test each channel before you rely on it.

Features and Practical Benefits

Dual relay control Two relays, each with NC, COM and NO connections. Control two devices independently from one board.

Ethernet or Wi-Fi An RJ45 port gives a wired connection for cabinets and server rooms. Wi-Fi covers places where running cable is not practical.

Flexible power input Runs on 12V DC, 24V DC, 12V AC or 24V AC through a clearly labeled 3-pin terminal block.

Mount-ready enclosure Four corner mounting holes for a secure, permanent install.

Quick start from the front panel A QR code on the front takes you straight to the documentation.

FAQ

What does a relay board do?

A relay board switches electrical circuits on and off. Rebooter Relays has two relays you can control separately, so you can power cycle or switch two pieces of connected equipment, such as a modem and a router, from one board.

What do NC, COM and NO mean on a relay?

COM is the common terminal. NO (normally open) connects to COM only when the relay is switched. NC (normally closed) stays connected to COM until the relay is switched. Rebooter Relays has all three on each channel, so you choose whether a circuit is normally on or normally off.

Is Rebooter Relays a WiFi relay or an Ethernet relay?

Both. Rebooter Relays connects over an RJ45 Ethernet port or Wi-Fi. Ethernet suits racks, cabinets and places where Wi-Fi is weak. Wi-Fi suits places where running cable is not practical.

What power does the relay board need?

The board runs on 12V DC, 24V DC, 12V AC or 24V AC. Connect your supply to the 3-pin terminal block labeled 12-24, GND and V+.

Should I buy a relay board or a plug-in router rebooter?

Choose the plug-in Keep Connect Automatic Router Rebooter if you want to restart a home router with no wiring. Choose Rebooter Relays if you need two channels, a wired Ethernet connection, panel mounting or integration into a larger control system.

Can I control Rebooter Relays with MQTT, webhooks or an API?

MQTT and webhooks are available with Keep Connect Cloud Services Pro and Enterprise plans. REST API access is available with the Enterprise plan.
