Keep Connect: Setting up
Keep Connect is a quick and straightforward process, designed to get you up and running with minimal hassle. With no App required.
Keep Connect Installation
Plug Keep Connect into a wall socket. Then, plug your router in to Keep Connect.
KeepConnect-SSID
It will then broadcast a local Wi-Fi network named KeepConnect-SSID. Connect to this network from your device, and the Keep Connect setup portal page should automatically open.
Setup Page not found
If connecting to KeepConnect-SSID doesn't automatically launch the Setup Portal Page, stay connected to the KeepConnect-SSID network and open a browser and type in default ip 192.168.4.1 to launch the setup portal page manually
Keep Connect Settings
The next pages detail the essential settings that Keep Connect will store, including SMS/Email notifications, your router’s Wi-Fi SSID/name and password, etc

Once settings are saved, and Keep Connect is able to connect to your router wifi network with no issues, it will send notification and you'll receive it
Keep Connect: Ensuring Constant Connectivity
The device continuously checks the stability of your internet connection. If it detects a disruption, Keep Connect immediately initiates a reset of your router, effectively minimizing downtime and enhancing your online experience. This automated process ensures that your internet connection remains stable and reliable, reducing frustrations and boosting productivity.
Regular Monitoring Intervals
Keep Connect monitors your internet health every few minutes (5 mins) by reaching a primary domain (test1.johnson-creative.com). If the primary domain is unreachable, it will try again in 1 minute the second domain (test2.johnson-creative.com). If the secondary domain works, Keep Connect will go back to its normal operation code loop. If both fails Keep connect will conclude internet is out and thus will initiate restart your router (as indicated by blinking yellow)
Initiation of Reboot
Once it issues a reboot, the device will first cut power to both the Keep Connect and router for 30 seconds. After restoring power, it will wait approximately three minutes before attempting to reconnect to your WiFi network and check if the internet connection has been restored.
Continuous Reboots and Sustained Outages Operation
If the internet is still down. Keep Connect will continue to restart your router (repeat number 1) until it can see the internet is up. It has a default value of maximum allowable reset of 3 (can be changed up to 99). If after the maximum allowable restart is done (let say Keep restarting your router 3 times). It will wait for a couple of hours (4 hours) to try restarting your router (for up to 3 times again). And will continue with this loop until it gets back the internet connection to monitor your internet health again.
Text/Email Notification
Once internet is restored and Keep Connect reconnects back to the network with a healthy internet, Keep Connect will send the reset notification

For enhanced convenience, the app includes features such as cloud notifications for offline devices, customizable reset notifications, and much more. These tools are designed to keep you fully informed and in control of your network environment, providing peace of mind and a higher level of automation in managing your internet connectivity.
